Everyone is waiting for the same thing
Your group has proposed a plan. It might be brilliant, ridiculous or both. Then comes the roll and, for a moment, everyone waits. That brief silence is part of roleplaying's appeal: you do not yet know which way the story will go.
We want El Refugio's dice to have a presence in that moment. In this gameplay capture, they rise above the board, their golden edges and light trails drawing the eye towards the result. The roll takes place within the session's physical space and becomes part of its staging.
Magic in a familiar room
Behind the dice, the bricks, windows, lamp and string lights of the basement remain. We like that contrast: something extraordinary appears in a room where you could have sat down with friends. The table is the meeting point between those two worlds.
The visual challenge is to give the result impact while keeping it readable. Number size, brightness and effect duration should help players understand what happened and allow the narration to continue.
The number is only the next step
After the roll, the conversation returns. The group reacts, the game master describes the consequences and someone starts forming another idea. We are looking for a presentation that makes that transition memorable. The real reward is the story you build from the result.
